Super-Kamiokande (SK) is an experiment which uses a water Cherenkov detector filled 50kilotons of pure water. In addition to detecting neutrinos generated at J-PARC, it also observes neutrinos from natural sources, such as the Sun, supernovae, and the atmosphere, as well as exploring the phenomenon of proton decay.
